My First Experience with Tampico

Hello and welcome back to another off-shoot review,
I am, as always, your writer for the strange and fascinating world of food and drinks.

Trigger Warning: I am addressing some cultural methodologies and urban myths/truths about the drink Tampico. I have a love for all cultural backgrounds as well as cuisines.

"Tampico never gets cold, and you need a lot of ice to get it there."

Stock Photo was taken from the official Tampico website.

Where do I begin with you, Tampico?
I never had you as a kid or teenager, and I was instructed not to drink it unless it was cold.
I avoided it like the plague until the middle age of thirty-five.
I sit here today with my grandmother's favorite drinking mug and can attest that Tampico is better cold.
I have tried it with room-temperature bottled water and it was horrible.
I will attempt to describe the taste, but I know most of you who will read this might say: It can't be that bad.
The mango tastes artificial and the artificiality shows under warm or hot temperatures.
I wonder why in the world do most supermarkets in Harlem and Washington Heights not keep it refrigerated.
I'm uncertain if Tampico is available in other parts of Manhattan so please forgive me for the above statement.
Leave a comment below if you see Tampico in your neighborhood, city, town, etc.

Time to rate this bad boy, oi vey, well Tampico is not something you want to drink every day with all the artificial sweeteners and chemicals used to flavor it.
Tampico Zero is no exception to this rule and I would suggest Diabetics and others with metabolic syndrome not drink this as a constant.

My overall rating: 6.5/10
I should not have to place it in my refrigerator and pray that it gets cold within 12 to 24 hours. The size takes up the bulk of my space and I have two shelves to utilize. (Don't ask).

Should anyone else try it?
Sure, why not. Just be ready to have a bag of ice ready, put it in the freezer, or wait a whole day to drink it.

Now if you lovelies will excuse me, this damned Tampico got hot on me.
(Sheesh)
